Understanding Human Behavior and Its Application

 We have been trying to introduce technology/robotics into society to solve various social problems. However, we always face the problem of "What is the best robotics design for human beings". Conversely, if we can fully understand behavior of human beings, I think we can understand what type of robot to make for the solution. Therefore, I have been working on research on human understanding related to automated vehicle and humanoid robots.

In particular, I am interested in What kind of information drivers perceive, and what strategy they use for their driving. I build a mathematical model of the driver's visual perception and apply the model to the automated control and vehicle design.
