| | | メッセージ・自己PR | I am a research scientist and lecturer at Ritsumeikan University, Japan. My research involves the automatic detection and classification of freshwaterbacteria and plankton in Lake Biwa, using image processing and pattern recognition techniques. Previously, I was a researcher at Lake Biwa Research Institute, and a researcher and part-time lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Queensland, Australia. I was a member of CSSIP's Medical Diagnostics group, undertaking research in the area of Pap Smear analysis and classification. Specifically, my interest was in feature extraction and classification of cell nuclei, using self-adaptive, multi-scale texture analysis. This new technique, which directly targets discriminatory information in texture images, is introduced in my PhD thesis |
