■Message from researcher
情報家電からユビキタス時代へ
 現在、DVDや携帯電話、デジタルテレビなどの情報家電をはじめとする高性能システムがLSI上に実現され、市場は大きな伸びを示しておりますが、時代は、更なる高集積、高性能のシステムを要求しています。このような状況においては、ありきたりの設計手法では不十分であり、超低電力化、超低コスト化、超高性能化等、LSI実現技術の飛躍的な革新が求められております。

当研究室では、現状の標準的な設計フローを基本から見直し、新しい設計手法を研究、実証することに取り組みます。また、超微細化時代に突入し、消費電力の増大や、製造ばらつきの問題など、設計困難度が飛躍的に増大しております。半導体製造情報からくる制約のもとで、設計を安定化、かつ、最適化する手法にも取り組みます。

以上のような、根本的課題に対応しながら、近い将来に見えているユビキタス(いつでもどこでもネットワークコンピューティング)の時代に備えたいと思います。

大阪大学大学院博士前期課程を修了後、20年間松下電器産業勤務、2003年から本学に。趣味は、園芸、散策、写真、ビギナーズゴルフ、等。
