Methodology of social sciences and international surplus capital Multi-sectoral model of resource allocation and income distribution

 I have conducted research of theory that would include international trade, investment and finance; recently, methodology of social sciences, in particular orbit analysis and principal component analysis and theory of international trade.

In addition, I now construct a 4-sector model of resource allocation and income distribution in duality on the basis of von Neumann model.

社会科学方法論と国際過剰資本の研究
  「高校時代、歴史を動かしている根本は経済だから、経済史をやれと先生に言われたのが経済学への動機となった」と語る板木先生の専攻分野は国際経済論。現在、国際貿易・投資・金融の理論研究を続けています。「一つの国の中での相対的な生産力の格差で競争力が決まる国際貿易の原理を比較優位原理といいます。この原理が国際投資や金融の超過利潤を生み出す源にもなっているのではないでしょうか」と説明。アダム・スミス、リカードの古典経済学に始まり、近代経済学のヘクシャーやオーリンまで理論を再検討した論文などを書きました。'80年、京大経済学部を卒業、大学院へ。小野一一郎教授につき世界経済論を専攻、韓国繊維産業の戦後の発展を研究しました。京大経研助手を経て、'90年本学へ。河内長野市から片道3 時間の電車の中が勉強室。「特技は研究、趣味は教育」と笑います。(談)
