英語教育と異文化理解、異文化コミュニケーション
  国際時代を迎えた今日、政治、経済、ビジネス、医療、科学技術分野はもとより、文学、教育、音楽、スポーツなど様々な分野において人々の交流が行われています。世界の約5分の1の人が英語を母国語あるいはまた外国語として使用している現在、共通語としての英語を学ぶことは大切です。私自身もロータリー奨学生、また、フルブライト奨学生としてアメリカの大学院に留学し、様々な国の学生、研究員と一緒に生活を共にした経験から、異文化コミュニケーションの難しさと同時に、お互いの違いを認め、固定観念を持たず心を開いて話し合う事の大切さを学びました。これらの経験をもとに、専門分野として、社会言語学、日・英語の比較分析、異文化コミュニケーションにおける誤解の原因を追求すると共に、コミュニカティブ英語教育に役立つ実践方法を研究しています。趣味は旅行。
