Research summary
Environmental purification with various ultraviolet light sources Desire for better environment is enhancing. Ultraviolet has been known for its germicidal power and is obtaining attention for the applications against Cryptosporidium which caused outbreak via water supply all over the world, for treatment of trace hazardous chemicals, and for newly developed light sources. Evaluation method of low pressure mercury lamp which is the most powerful ultraviolet light source and new application of mercury free light sources such as excimer lamps and UVLED are being developed in order to construct safer and more comfortable society.
