Research summary
The development of measurement technology using MEMS, evaluation of characteristics of micro/nano materials and elucidation of their destruction mechanisms I develop the measurement technology for various physical quantities in the micro and nano scales using MEMS and micromachines and aim to establish a basic technology to create new micro/nano devices. In addition, to make MEMS to be a high function and high performance and assure the reliability of the devices that will be put into practical use, the characteristics of the materials used for the purposes must be grasped. Then, I perform the evaluation of the characteristics of the micro/nano scale structural materials used for MEMS materials and clarify the mechanisms of various physical properties that appear due to the microminiaturization.
