Research summary
Study of international currency and financing issues, and domestic and international economic and financial trends.
While many currency and financial crisis took place in the 1990s and 2000s, economic catch-up of the new, developing countries to the developed countries are continuing. Based on research of these movements, what is required of the international finance system is studied.
Study is made on the process of unification of European currency, the problems with currency unification that manifested with the financial crisis occurring later, and the direction of policy to solve the problem.
In the changing global economy structure from globalization and computerization, the direction of changes in the roles played by economy and currency of Japan, USA, Europe, China, and others are studied.
Based on the above, the positioning and role of Japan in East Asia in currency and finance collaboration promoted after the Asian currency crisis is studied by analysis of the past to the present, to study the future outlook and the policies to be established.
