Research summary
Elucidation of drug pharmacokinetics variation factors and individualized administration design and the study on proper use of pharmaceuticals Pharmacokinetics of drugs are closely linked to the effectiveness and safety of pharmaceuticals. In our laboratory, study is being pursued focused on drug transporters, one of the regulating factors of drug pharmacokinetics. In other words, the correlation analysis of drug transporter function and onset variation and drug pharmacokinetic variation and the elucidation of drug interaction mechanism through drug transporters, tissue build-up of drugs through drug transporters and the relation with the onset of side effect etc., are being conducted from molecular level to individual level, using diverse experimental systems to conduct systematic analysis, aiming to contribute to the proper use of pharmaceuticals by solving the issues in pharmacotherapy.
