Research summary
Evaluation of fatigue strength in additive manufactured metallic materials under multiaxial loading at elevated temperature Additive manufacture for metallic materials has been widely studied, by utilizing which structures and components which have complex shapes can be manufactured directly. Thus, the cost will be reduced. However, during AM process, defects will form frequently, which have significant effect on strength of structures and components when subjected service loading condition. These loadings are often cyclic multiaxial loading. The study concerns AM materials that used in high temperature condition under above-mentioned loading, therefore, investigation of multiaxial fatigue features for AM materials under such condition is essential.
